Busy October Weeks!

Image result for art therapy

Hi Everyone,

It has been a very busy few weeks in our Guidance World :-) I wanted to take a moment to share what has been going on!

We had the chance to create some wonderful Art Therapy assignments.  The students loved making them and I loved seeing how creative they could be with their feelings!

Here are some examples of our Second Grade Feelings Mandolas (where the students had to think about the feelings that they felt and how often they felt that way.  Then design their mandola to represent those proportions)!

Here are some examples of what our Third Graders did!  They had to make a Feelings Emotion Color Wheel.  They had to chose 8 different feelings that they felt and had to decorate each section of their color wheel to match that feeling in their eyes!

And, my fourth graders made Collages using Loupe Collage to represent their Dreams, Passions, and Goals!

They all did a fabulous job and we had a lot of fun!!

Take care,
Mrs. Roberti

I AM Posters

Image result for I am wonderful!

Good morning everyone!

So, last week I had my third and fourth grade classes take a look at how special they are!  We talked about the fact that everyone has a story, and everyone's story deserves to be heard.  We also talked about the great number of strengths each of us have and that it was important to celebrate those strengths!  We then used technology as the tool in which we could broadcast the wonderful characteristics of ourselves :-)

The third graders made "I Am" posters using Google Drawing.  Here are some of the wonderful creations that they made!

The students had fun and did an amazing job with these!

I leave you with a challenge - Who are you?  What are your strengths?  It's time to celebrate them!

Take care,
Mrs. Roberti
